สถานกงสุลใหญ่ ณ นครแวนคูเวอร์ ร่วมกับคณะกรรมการจัดงานเทศกาลไทยนครแวนคูเวอร์ และชุมชนไทยในนครแวนคูเวอร์ ร่วมกันจัดงานเทศกาลไทย ประจำปี 2569 ระหว่างวันที่ 8-9 สิงหาคม 2569 ณ ลานหน้าพิพิธภัณฑ์ศิลปะแวนคูเวอร์ โดยมีนางสาวณัฐนิภา บุรุษพัฒน์ กงสุลใหญ่ ณ นครแวนคูเวอร์ เป็นประธานในพิธีเปิด ร่วมกับนาย Ken Sim นายกเทศมนตรีนครแวนคูเวอร์ และมีแขกผู้มีเกียรติเข้าร่วมงาน อาทิ ผู้อำนวยการสำนักงานส่งเสริมการค้าในต่างประเทศ ณ นครแวนคูเวอร์ รองผู้อำนวยการการท่องเที่ยวแห่งประเทศไทย (ททท.) สำนักงานชิคาโก คณะกงสุลต่างประเทศประจำนครแวนคูเวอร์ ผู้แทนภาครัฐและภาคธุรกิจแคนาดา

งานเทศกาลไทยในปีนี้จัดขึ้นอย่างยิ่งใหญ่เพื่อร่วมฉลองการครบรอบ 65 ปี การสถาปนาความสัมพันธ์ทางการทูตไทย-แคนาดา โดยมีกิจกรรมและการแสดงต่าง ๆ ภายในงาน อาทิ การแสดงดนตรีไทย/ดนตรีไทยร่วมสมัย รำไทย/นาฏศิลป์ โขน มวยไทย การเต้นเพลง T-Pop การบรรเลงเพลงของวงดุริยางค์ทหารของรัฐบริติชโคลัมเบียในช่วงพิธีเปิด รวมถึงการจัดกิจกรรมส่งเสริม startup ไทย การเดินแบบชุดไทย ซุ้มส่งเสริมการค้าและการท่องเที่ยวไทย ซุ้มร้านอาหารไทยในนครแวนคูเวอร์และเมืองใกล้เคียง ซุ้มนวดไทย และซุ้มสินค้าของคุณพิมรี่พาย Influencer ชื่อดัง ซึ่งเดินทางจากประเทศไทยมาร่วมงาน นอกจากนี้ สถานกงสุลใหญ่ฯ ได้เปิดให้ผู้เข้าร่วมงานสร้างภาพจำลองการสวมใส่ชุดไทยพระราชนิยมผ่านโปรแกรม AI Photo เพื่อเผยแพร่ความเป็นไทยในโอกาสที่ประเทศไทยจะขึ้นทะเบียนชุดไทยเป็นมรดกภูมิปัญญาทางวัฒนธรรมที่จับต้องไม่ได้ของมนุษยชาติต่อยูเนสโกในปีนี้ ซึ่งมีผู้ให้ความสนใจจำนวนมาก

กงสุลใหญ่ฯ ยังร่วมเป็นกรรมการตัดสินการแข่งขันทำอาหารไทย และร่วมเป็นสักขีพยานในการมอบรางวัลจากการจับสลากของขวัญต่าง ๆ ซึ่งได้รับการสนับสนุนจากภาคเอกชนไทยและแคนาดา โดยมีรางวัลใหญ่ ได้แก่ บัตรโดยสารเครื่องบินไป-กลับนครแวนคูเวอร์-กรุงเทพฯ จากสายการบิน China Airlines และที่พัก ณ โรงแรม Anantara Riverside Bangkok Resort จาก ททท. สำนักงานชิคาโก

สถานกงสุลใหญ่ฯ ขอขอบคุณทุกท่านที่มีส่วนร่วมในการจัดงานเทศกาลไทยครั้งนี้ โดยนอกจากจะแสดงให้เห็นถึงความเข้มแข็งและความสามัคคีของชุมชนไทย และช่วยให้การเผยแพร่ความเป็นไทยในแคนาดาเป็นไปอย่างยั่งยืน สอดคล้องกับผลประโยชน์และความต้องการของคนในพื้นที่อย่างแท้จริงแล้ว ยังเป็นการช่วยส่งเสริมความสัมพันธ์และความเข้าใจอันดีกับทั้งหน่วยงานภาครัฐและประชาชนของแคนาดา ซึ่งเป็นรากฐานสำคัญของการพัฒนาความร่วมมือในด้านต่าง ๆ ที่จะเป็นประโยชน์กับทั้งชาวไทยและชาวแคนาดาต่อไป

Thai Festival Vancouver 2026 Successfully Held on 8–9 August 2026

The Royal Thai Consulate General in Vancouver, together with the Thai Festival Vancouver Organizing Committee and the Thai community in Vancouver and British Columbia, organized the Thai Festival Vancouver 2026 on 8–9 August 2026 at the Vancouver Art Gallery. The opening ceremony was presided over by Ms. Nattanipa Burusapat, Consul General of Thailand in Vancouver and Mr. Ken Sim, Mayor of Vancouver. Distinguished guests in attendance included the Director of the Office of Thai Trade Centre, Vancouver, the Deputy Director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) Chicago Office, members of the Consular Corps in Vancouver, and representatives from Canadian government and business sectors.

This year’s Festival was held to commemorate the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Thailand and Canada. The event featured a wide range of cultural performances and activities, including traditional and contemporary Thai music, Thai classical dance, Khon masked dance, Muay Thai demonstrations, T-Pop performances, and performance by the British Columbia Regiment Band during the opening ceremony. Additional highlights included a Thai startup showcase, a Thai traditional costume fashion show, booths promoting Thai trade and tourism, Thai restaurants and Thai massage booths, and a special booth featuring products from Pimrypie, a well known Thai influencer who travelled from Thailand to join the event.

The Consulate also introduced an AI Photo experience, allowing visitors to generate images of themselves wearing Chud Thai or Thai National Costume. This aims to promote Chud Thai for an inscription on UNESCO’s Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity later this year. The activity received significant public interest.

The Consul General also served as a judge in the Thai cooking competition and witnessed the presentation of prizes from the event’s raffle draw, which was generously supported by Thai and Canadian private sector partners. Major prizes included round trip tickets between Vancouver and Bangkok sponsored by China Airlines, and a stay at Anantara Riverside Bangkok Resort, sponsored by TAT Chicago Office.

The Consulate would like to express our sincere appreciation to everyone involved in making the Thai Festival YVR 2026 a success. Beyond showcasing the strength and unity of the Thai community and promoting Thai culture sustainably in Canada in ways that genuinely reflect local interests, the Festival also helped strengthen relationships and mutual understanding with Canadian partners and the public, which is an important foundation for advancing future cooperation for the benefit of both Thai and Canadian people.
