เมื่อวันที่ 22 พฤษภาคม 2569 นายดามพ์ บุญธรรม เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงออตตาวา พร้อมด้วยกงสุลใหญ่ ณ นครแวนคูเวอร์ และผู้อำนวยการสำนักงานส่งเสริมการค้าในต่างประเทศ ณ นครแวนคูเวอร์ ได้เข้าร่วมกิจกรรมการแข่งขันการประกอบอาหารไทย Thai SELECT Cooking Challenge 2026 ณ Vancouver Community College (VCC)

การแข่งขันดังกล่าวจัดขึ้นโดยความร่วมมือระหว่างสถานกงสุลใหญ่ ณ นครแวนคูเวอร์ สำนักงานส่งเสริมการค้าในต่างประเทศ ณ นครแวนคูเวอร์ และ VCC โดยในปีนี้จัดขึ้นภายใต้แนวคิด Thai Street Food และได้รับเกียรติจาก Chef Mark Massicotte จาก VCC Culinary Arts, Chef Angus An จากร้าน Maenam Restaurant และคุณ Busaba Poonpoem จากร้าน Sawaddee Thai Restaurant ร่วมเป็นคณะกรรมการตัดสิน

On 22 May 2026, Mr. Darm Boontham, Ambassador of Thailand to Canada, together with the Consul-General of Thailand in Vancouver and the Director of Thai Trade Centre - Vancouver, attended the Thai SELECT Cooking Challenge 2026 at Vancouver Community College (VCC).

The competition was organized through the collaboration between the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Vancouver, the Thai Trade Centre - Vancouver, and VCC. This year’s competition was held under the theme “Thai Street Food” and featured Chef Mark Massicotte from VCC Culinary Arts, Chef Angus An from Maenam Restaurant, and Ms. Busaba Poonpoem from Sawaddee Thai Restaurant as judges.

Congratulations to Wasuthorn Puengsiricharoen, winner of the Best Thai Street Food One-Dish Meal award, and Kenneth Yat-Kwan Pan, winner of the Best Thai Street Food Appetizer award.
