เมื่อวันที่ 25 สิงหาคม 2569 นางสาวณัฐนิภา บุรุษพัฒน์ กงสุลใหญ่ ณ นครแวนคูเวอร์ ได้เข้าเยี่ยมคารวะนางสาว Anne Kang รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการท่องเที่ยว ศิลปะ วัฒนธรรม และกีฬาแห่งรัฐบริติชโคลัมเบีย เพื่อหารือแนวทางส่งเสริมความสัมพันธ์ไทย–บริติชโคลัมเบีย ในโอกาสครบรอบ 65 ปีความสัมพันธ์ทางการทูตไทย–แคนาดา โดยได้แลกเปลี่ยนความเห็นด้านการท่องเที่ยว ความเชื่อมโยงระหว่างประชาชน ตลอดจนความสำคัญของเที่ยวบินตรงแวนคูเวอร์–กรุงเทพฯ ในการส่งเสริมการท่องเที่ยว ธุรกิจ และการศึกษา รวมถึงผลตอบรับที่ดีจากงาน Amazing Thailand Roadshow 2026 ซึ่งการท่องเที่ยวแห่งประเทศไทยได้จัดขึ้น ณ นครแวนคูเวอร์ เมื่อเดือนเมษายน 2569

กงสุลใหญ่ฯ ยังได้กล่าวถึง การเสนอชุดไทยขึ้นทะเบียนเป็นมรดกวัฒนธรรมที่จับต้องไม่ได้ของ UNESCO ในปี 2569 การเผยแพร่นาฏศิลป์ ศิลปะร่วมสมัย ภาพยนตร์ไทย และมวยไทย ตลอดจนความร่วมมือด้านการศึกษาระหว่างไทย–แคนาดา และโอกาสในการพัฒนาความร่วมมือด้านเทคโนโลยีดิจิทัลและ AI นวัตกรรมการเกษตร การผลิตขั้นสูง เทคโนโลยีชีวภาพ เทคโนโลยีสะอาด ความยั่งยืน และเทคโนโลยีควอนตัม

ในโอกาสดังกล่าว กงสุลใหญ่ฯ ได้เชิญรัฐมนตรี Anne Kang เข้าร่วมงานเทศกาลไทยปี 2570 และรัฐมนตรีฯ ได้ตอบรับคำเชิญเข้าร่วมงานเลี้ยงรับรองและการฉายภาพยนตร์ไทยโดยผู้กำกับเป็นเอก รัตนเรือง ในวันที่ 8 กันยายน 2569 ณ The Cinematheque นครแวนคูเวอร์ การพบหารือครั้งนี้เป็นโอกาสอันดีในการกระชับความสัมพันธ์และส่งเสริมความร่วมมือระหว่างไทยกับรัฐบริติชโคลัมเบียให้ใกล้ชิดยิ่งขึ้น

On 25 August 2026, Ms. Nattanipa Burusapat, Consul General of Thailand in Vancouver, paid a courtesy call on The Hon. Anne Kang, Minister of Tourism, Arts, Culture and Sport of British Columbia, to discuss ways to further strengthen Thailand–British Columbia relations, on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of Thailand–Canada diplomatic relations. Discussions covered tourism and people-to-people connectivity, as well as the importance of direct Vancouver–Bangkok air connectivity in promoting tourism, business and educational exchanges. The Consul General also highlighted the positive response to the Amazing Thailand Roadshow 2026, organized by the Tourism Authority of Thailand in Vancouver in April 2026.

The Consul General informed that Thailand has proposed "Chud Thai" (Thai traditional dress) for inscription as UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2026, as well as the promotion of Thai dance, contemporary art, Thai cinema and Muay Thai. She also highlighted Thailand–Canada educational cooperation and opportunities to further develop collaboration in digital technology and AI, agri-innovation, advanced manufacturing, biotechnology, clean technology, sustainability and quantum technologies.

On this occasion, the Consul General invited Minister Kang to attend Thai Festival 2027, and the Minister accepted the invitation to attend a reception and Thai film screening by renowned Thai director Pen-ek Ratanaruang on 8 September 2026 at The Cinematheque, Vancouver. The meeting provided a valuable opportunity to further strengthen the close relationship and cooperation between Thailand and British Columbia.
