Bringing pets into Thailand

Step 1: Request an import permit by email:

Request an import permit by email to Animal quarantine station(AQS) with the following documentation (not less than 7 working days):
• Complete Form R1/1
• Copy of passenger’s passport
• Pet’s photo
• Flight itinerary
• Vaccination record (must be in English)
• Microchip certificate

Step 2: Veterinary officer review the documents and Issuing an import permit
If additional information is required, the officer will contact you by email

Step 3: Approved import permit will be sent by email

Step 4: Obtain Canadian International Health Certificate from Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA): Click

• Preparing your documents before departure
• Original passport
• Original vaccination book
• Original Canadian International Health Certificate from CFIA
• A print out of the Import Permit

Step 5: Upon arrival at the airport contact AQS for Veterinary Inspection

• A Notice of Import Approval (Form R-6) and Import License (Form R-7) will be issued.
• Pet entry fees: 500 Baht per animal.
  

Processing Time for Import Permit:
• Please allow 5-7 Thailand’s business days to process after receipt of all documents and it will be valid for 60 days after the issuance. We recommend applying 30 days before departure.
