เมื่อวันที่ 3 กันยายน 2569 นางสาวณัฐนิภา บุรุษพัฒน์ กงสุลใหญ่ ณ นครแวนคูเวอร์ ได้เข้าร่วมการประชุมหารือออนไลน์ระหว่าง Dr. Andrea Frommel, Assistant Professor and Chair in Sustainable Aquaculture มหาวิทยาลัยบริติชโคลัมเบีย (UBC) และคณะนักวิจัยจากศูนย์พันธุวิศวกรรมและเทคโนโลยีชีวภาพแห่งชาติ (ไบโอเทค) สำนักงานพัฒนาวิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยีแห่งชาติ (สวทช.) นำโดย ดร. กัลยาณ์ แดงติ๊บ ผู้อำนวยการกลุ่มวิจัยเทคโนโลยีชีวภาพสัตว์น้ำแบบบูรณาการ เพื่อหารือแนวทางความร่วมมือในการแลกเปลี่ยนนักวิจัยไทย–แคนาดา และการทำงานวิจัยร่วมด้านนวัตกรรมสัตว์น้ำอย่างยั่งยืน เพื่อเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพการผลิต

กงสุลใหญ่ฯ ได้ย้ำถึงนโยบายการทูตวิทยาศาสตร์ วิจัย และนวัตกรรมของไทยในการแสวงหาความร่วมมือกับหุ้นส่วนระหว่างประเทศ เพื่อเสริมสร้างระบบนิเวศนวัตกรรมของไทย สร้างความพร้อมและพัฒนาทุนมนุษย์ในระยะยาว ตลอดจนเสริมสร้างขีดความสามารถทางเศรษฐกิจและสังคม โดยเทคโนโลยีชีวภาพเป็นหนึ่งในสาขาที่ไทยให้ความสำคัญ

สถานกงสุลใหญ่ ณ นครแวนคูเวอร์ยินดีประสานงานและสนับสนุนความร่วมมือระหว่าง UBC และไบโอเทค สวทช. เพื่อให้การดำเนินโครงการเป็นไปอย่างราบรื่นและสัมฤทธิ์ผล

On 3 September 2026, Ms. Nattanipa Burusapat, Consul General of Thailand in Vancouver, participated in an online meeting between Dr. Andrea Frommel, Assistant Professor and Chair in Sustainable Aquaculture at the University of British Columbia (UBC), and a team of researchers from the National Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (BIOTEC), National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), led by Dr. Kallaya Dangtip, Director of the Integrative Aquaculture Biotechnology Research Group. The meeting discussed potential collaboration on Thai-Canadian researcher exchanges and joint research on sustainable aquaculture innovations aimed at improving production efficiency.

The Consul General highlighted Thailand’s science, research and innovation diplomacy policy, which seeks to strengthen international partnerships and Thailand’s innovation ecosystem, develop human capital in the long term, and enhance economic and social capabilities. Biotechnology is among the areas of priority for Thailand.

The Royal Thai Consulate-General in Vancouver expressed its readiness to facilitate and support collaboration between UBC and BIOTEC to ensure the smooth and successful implementation of future joint research initiatives.
