เมื่อวันที่ 7 กรกฎาคม 2569 นางสาวณัฐนิภา บุรุษพัฒน์ กงสุลใหญ่ ณ นครแวนคูเวอร์ ได้เข้าเยี่ยมคารวะนายโยชิอากิ ทาคาฮาชิ กงสุลใหญ่ญี่ปุ่น ณ นครแวนคูเวอร์ เนื่องในโอกาสเข้ารับตำแหน่งกงสุลใหญ่ ณ นครแวนคูเวอร์

ทั้งสองฝ่ายได้หารือแนวทางการส่งเสริมและกระชับความสัมพันธ์อันดีระหว่างไทยกับญี่ปุ่นให้เข้มแข็งยิ่งขึ้น โดยเฉพาะการส่งเสริมความร่วมมือด้านการค้า การลงทุนในสาขาที่เป็นผลประโยชน์ร่วมกัน เช่น เทคโนโลยี หุ่นยนต์ เซมิคอนดักเตอร์ ดาต้าเซ็นเตอร์ เป็นต้น ทั้งสองฝ่ายยังได้แลกเปลี่ยนข้อมูลเกี่ยวกับชาวไทยและชาวญี่ปุ่นที่พำนักอยู่ในแคนาดาตะวันตก

ในโอกาสนี้ กงสุลใหญ่ฯ ได้เชิญกงสุลใหญ่ญี่ปุ่นเข้าร่วมงานเทศกาลไทย ระหว่างวันที่ 8-9 สิงหาคม 2569 ที่ลานหน้าพิพิธภัณฑ์ศิลปะแวนคูเวอร์ด้วย

On 7 July 2026, Ms. Nattanipa Burusapat, Consul General of Thailand in Vancouver, paid a courtesy call on Mr. Yoshiaki Takahashi, Consul General of Japan in Vancouver, on the occasion of her assumption of duties as Consul General.

Both sides discussed ways to further strengthen the longstanding and cordial relations between Thailand and Japan, especially on promoting trade and investment cooperation in areas of mutual interest, including technology, robotics, semiconductors, and data centres. They also exchanged information on the Thai and Japanese communities residing in Western Canada.

On this occasion, Consul General Burusapat invited Consul General Takahashi to attend the Thai Festival 2026, which will be held on 8–9 August 2026 at the plaza in front of the Vancouver Art Gallery.
